In 1968 the church started to work in the Karnataka State.
In 1981 "St. Luke's Medical Society" was founded for the purpose of coordinating the sick and health care work of the church.
In the year 2000 the evangelistic work began in Orissa and Uttar Pradesh.
During 2001The work began in Andaman Island. In 2002 it expanded to Gujarat.
In 2003 it extended to Goa.
During 2004 the work was initiated in Jammu and Kashmir.
In the year 2005 the work was expanded to the States of Andra Pradesh, Uttranchal, Himachal Pradesh and Haryana.
During 2006 the work spread to North of Maharashtra and during 2007 the work extended to Bihar.
Congregation: The HCC has 103 congregations and 15,000 members. There are 78 Pastors out of which four are Women Pastors and there are 30 evangelists and
Eight Bible Women. Today HCC is working in the states of Maharashtra, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, Orissa, Goa, Andaman and Nicobar Island, Jammu and Kashmir, Andra Pradesh, Gujarat, Uttranchal, Haryana and Bihar.
